- Finca La Pastora is a family farm owned by a man named Minor Esquival Picado. We met him and his daughters, China and Nitsy, on a visit to La Minita several years ago. Minor built his own micro-mill on the farm and produces several boutique lots each year. This dry-processed coffee is EXCEPTIONAL. We love working with this family because their creativity and hospitality is unmatched. I’ve visited La Pastora several times and watched the progress of new facilities being built and new processing methods implemented. It's not all work. They always surprise me with plums from the farm or fresh-squeezed sugarcane, and always a couple rounds of rum and tequila. Their coffees are likewise generous. This one is an all-day drinker, dessert-like in its layers of fruit and sweet satisfying finish.
